Telos, 2016
oil pastel on three pieces of paper, 59x84 cm each
The drawings are a process. A process that happens in the studio while I am not working on other things. An excuse to keep me busy, evidencing my worth as a student. A journal of written thoughts. An exploration of sensation applying colour to a piece of paper. The labour of drawing with a tiny oil pastel. The concealing of written confessions. The scraping of the image and the figuring out of the balance.
The title means "an ultimate object or aim". Or if you can read Greek, it means "end" or "finish".
